The Theory of Entropicity (ToE) Offers a Radical Departure from Einstein's Theory of Relativity (ToR): From Epistemodynamics to Ontodynamics

The Theory of Entropicity (ToE) Offers a Radical Departure from Einstein's Theory of Relativity (ToR): From Epistemodynamics to Ontodynamics

The Theory of Entropicity (ToE), proposed by John Onimisi Obidi in early 2025, posits that entropy is not merely a measure of disorder but a fundamental, dynamic field that acts as the causal substrate of physical reality. It frames gravity, quantum mechanics, and time as emergent phenomena driven by the continuous, irreversible flow and redistribution of entropy, aiming to unify physics.

Key aspects of the Theory of Entropicity include:

  • Entropy as a Fundamental Field: Rather than just a statistical byproduct, entropy is a continuous field permeating the universe.
  • Fundamental Principles: It asserts that gravity is not a fundamental force but an emergent effect of entropy gradients (entropic gravity). Objects move to follow paths of maximum entropy increase.
  • Redefining Relativity: The theory argues that relativistic effects like time dilation, length contraction, and mass increase are entropic consequences of the finite rate at which entropy can be redistributed, treating the speed of light (
    cc
) as a functional limit of this field.
  • Core Governing Equation: The framework is underpinned by the Master Entropic Equation (MEE), which is derived from a proposed variational principle called the Obidi Action.
  • Unification Goal: It aims to merge Thermodynamics, General Relativity, and Quantum Mechanics by treating all physical interactions as manifestations of entropy-driven dynamics.
Core Components of the Theory
  • Entropic Force F=TdS/dx (
    Fentropycap F sub e n t r o p y end-sub
    ):
    Fentropy=TdSdrcap F sub e n t r o p y end-sub equals cap T the fraction with numerator d cap S and denominator d r end-fraction
    , where
    TTcap T
     T is temperature and dS/dx
    dS/drd cap S / d r
is the gradient of entropy, representing that forces emerge as systems tend toward maximum entropy.
  • Origin of Motion: Instead of forces causing movement, motion emerges from the inherent drive of the universe towards higher entropy.
  • Entropic Geodesics: Objects follow paths dictated by entropy, which, according to the theory, gives the appearance of space-time curvature, offering an alternative to standard General Relativity.
The theory is considered a radical, emerging framework in modern theoretical physics that challenges conventional views of foundational forces.
