Foundation of the Theory of Entropicity (ToE)

Foundation of the Theory of Entropicity (ToE)

The Theory of Entropicity (ToE) is a 2025 proposal by John Onimisi Obidi, which posits entropy as the fundamental, dynamic field S(x,t) (

Ξ¦Ecap phi sub cap E
) underlying reality, rather than a mere measure of disorder. It treats gravity, time, and matter as emergent thermodynamic projections of an informational, self-organizing continuum, aiming to unify relativity and quantum mechanics.
Key foundations and concepts include:
  • Entropy as a Fundamental Field: Entropy is reinterpreted as an active, continuous, and dynamic field that drives physical motion and dictates the structure of spacetime.
  • Informational Basis: Information is considered the generative source of energy and matter, with the universe acting as an informational-geometric structure.
  • The Obidi Action: A mathematical framework, often called the "Obidi Action" or Informational–Geometric Field Equation, is proposed to replace or extend Einstein’s field equations by connecting quantum, thermodynamic, and geometric constants.
  • Emergent Phenomena: Phenomena like inertia, gravitation, and the speed of light are interpreted as consequences of entropic gradients and "informational temperature".
  • Temporal Constraints: The theory suggests that all physical interactions and events require a non-zero, finite time to occur because they are governed by the dynamic,,,y-changing nature of the entropic field.
This theory is currently a novel proposal under rigorous and vigorous technical development.
