From Black holes and AdS/CFT Correspondence to the Theory of Entropicity (ToE)

From Black holes and AdS/CFT Correspondence to the Theory of Entropicity (ToE)

John Onimisi Obidi explains holography through his Theory of Entropicity (ToE), reinterpreting it not merely as a geometric mapping between a volume and its boundary, but as a physical, thermodynamic process where entropy acts as the primary substrate of reality.

In Obidi's framework, the holographic principle is recontextualized through the following key concepts:
  • Entropy as the Substrate: Unlike traditional physics, which treats entropy as a statistical measure of disorder, ToE treats entropy as an ontic field—a physical substance or "fluid" that constitutes reality. In this view, 3D space and time are emergent "shadows" projected from this underlying entropic field.
  • The Obidi Curvature Invariant (OCI -
    ln2l n 2
    ):
    Obidi introduces
    ln2l n 2
as the "quantum of distinguishability"—the smallest possible change in entropic curvature that the universe can register. He argues that holographic screens are physical boundaries where the entropic field reaches this specific density (
    ln2l n 2
    per "pixel" of area).
  • Entropic Encoding: Rather than focusing only on the geometric boundary, Obidi's entropic holography posits that all information within a 3D volume is encoded by the behavior of this entropic field on its boundary.
  • "No-Rush" Theorem & Limits: Obidi connects this to a "No-Rush" theorem, suggesting that the universe cannot create new distinguishable states faster than the entropic field can reorganize, setting a fundamental limit on how information is encoded in a holographic manner.
In essence, Obidi transforms the holographic principle from a mathematical description of black holes (AdS/CFT) into a foundational, dynamic principle of quantum gravity where reality is built from the "stiffness" of the entropic field.
