On the Key Concepts of the Theory of Entropicity (ToE)

The Theory of Entropicity (ToE), proposed by John Onimisi Obidi in 2025, is a recent, radical physics framework suggesting entropy isn't just disorder, but the fundamental field from which spacetime, gravity, quantum mechanics, and even the speed of light emerge, aiming to unify physics by making entropy the core, dynamic substrate of reality, not just a byproduct. ToE reinterprets entropy as an active field whose gradients drive motion, gravity, time, and information, deriving relativistic effects like time dilation from entropic inevitabilities.

Core Concepts of ToE
  • Entropy as Fundamental: Instead of a consequence, entropy is the universal, dynamic field (Ξ¦E) underlying all physical laws.
  • Emergent Spacetime: Space and time aren't primary but emerge from the flow and redistribution of this entropic field.
  • Gravity from Entropy: Gravity is explained as the response of this field, with curved regions acting like "hot" geometric zones.
  • Relativity Explained: Time dilation, length contraction, and mass increase are seen as results of entropic conservation and resistance, not just kinematics.
  • Unification Goal: ToE seeks to bridge relativity, quantum mechanics, and thermodynamics by treating entropy as the unifying mechanism.
Key Idea in Simple Terms
Think of the universe not as a machine but as a living, evolving field of entropy. Every interaction, from a falling apple (gravity) to the ticking of a clock (time), is a manifestation of this continuous entropic process, making entropy the ultimate "engine" of reality.
